Chapter 1

Love. A four-letter word that carries immense amounts of feelings towards something or someone. To love, is to find life totally unbearable without this special someone right by your side. To be loved, is feeling all these lovely feelings coming your way transmitted by someone. In love, there’s a one-sided love, and a mutual-love. In the name of love, many great stories have known their way to history and art. Some were uncovered, Some still not.

Firas, a regular guy next door, carries a big kind and loving heart in his chest. Talented, smart, a good listener and a quick learner. He was only 12 years old when he started to feel something for someone. Her name was Layla, she was Firas’ classmate. Firas couldn’t start a day without seeing her smile every morning wishing that he could just step closer and talk to her, feel the pleasure of her voice penetrating his ears.

The weather has become hot, it’s almost the end of the year, and Firas didn’t have the guts and go talk to her, but he still hopes that they’ll be in the same class next year so he could enjoy another year, just like this one.

Being shy can really waste your chances -if you had any- and would probably blow you away, and so is Firas. He always stared with admiration at her lovely face though never had the courage to go talk to her, it was a one-sided love.
